Holland
We get to see Sahara today!
And we get to ride a train, too!!
Uncle Naties, Sahara, and Hunter picked us up at the train station and walked with us to the Hotel Des Indes. Very fancy! I’m not sure this old diplomatic institution was accustomed to seeing four kids jumping around the lobby, but they were smiling, patient, and and even gave us ice cream. The kids had fun running through the streets of the Hague, and had to check every bicycle bell along the way:
Then we all stopped for some lunch.
Who says you need to be in Azerbaijan for ayran and a schaurma?
Afterward, Uncle Naties took us to the park to play on the zipline. I guess ziplines are the new swingset these days. Tblisi, Seattle, and now Den Haag. Who is marketing ziplines around the world? They are doing a good job!
We worked up our appetites, took a nap, and woke up to some delicious Dutch snacks. Mmm, Bitterkonitur!! Every time we have this stuff, it tastes more and more like home.

Nate’s Beautiful Grill
After our barbecue dinner of hamburgers and chocolate Magnum bars, we were tuckered out enough to collapse beneath our canopied 4-poster bed.
The next morning, even though we were leaving, the fun had yet to stop. Sahara got to come with us! And the airport has baggage carts!
We had such a great time. Thank you, Nathan and Leila, for making it so special for us. We can’t wait to see you again, in Zambia and wherever the future takes us. We love our cousins!
These pictures almost leave me speechless! They just evoke so many wonderful memories of our times together. These memories are ours forever!
Love, Mom
