Little boys have big dreams, and this summer Dede made some little boys’ dreams come true.  Trains!

Even the big kids had fun!

The train engineer invited Eli and Jake back to his workshop.  He told us all about electric trains:

It was sad when we had to go home, but it was also well past lunch time and we needed a break.

No trip to Baltimore would be complete without a visit to one of our favorite restaurants.

Eli still loves mussels.  The rest of us loved the Rolle Bolle beer and the lobster macaroni and cheese.  Seriously, LOVED it.  After two years without decent cheese, good beer, or any kind of seafood, this place, while one of the greatest dives in the Universe, felt like heaven.  Especially when we were hungry and hot after an afternoon at the museum!  I am personally not a fan of museums, but I will do anything if there is a pint of good beer waiting at the end.

Yes, we really were as happy as we look in these photos.  It was a wonderful day now a wonderful memory, and Eli and Jake still talk about the way the miss Mimi and Dede’s house and the trains.  We are already looking forward to coming back!
