And The Other Is Gold

If we could pick the perfect weekend, with the perfect people, in the perfect place,

I think it would be just like the one we just had with the Bennetts.

Is it common to see old friends and think they’ve changed?  Because now that we’re old enough to have old friends, and to know that enough life has happened to cause all of us to change, it doesn’t feel like that.  It doesn’t feel like they have changed one bit.  It still feels like they are the friends that we liked from day one, and that we love even more as the time goes by.

We live with the expectation that those paths will keep crossing, here and there, in sometimes random places like a kids’ water hotel in Prague.  Because that is life, hey?  A series of plans disrupted by unexpected surprises.

The good ones keep us going.

Thanks for visiting, Friends.  We are reminded this week of what it means to be loved, by people who love us anyway, even though they don’t have to, and are blessed you chose to spend your vacation with us.  Here’s to the next one, and the one after that, and all the meandering Skype calls in between.
