A cabinet full of odd coffee mugs is the best way to tell a life story.  Here our old life meets our new.  They work for cocoa too :).

Mike is an expert at homemade dough these days.  And we love having our friends over!

Kitties!  On the days when we are especially attuned to our cat selves, Mommy lets us drink milk on the floor.

Backyard Farmers

Sometimes when I’m in the kitchen listening to the sounds of our neighborhood, I hear children shouting.  Occasionally a baby cries, or I hear the frustrated protest of a toddler who can’t quite yet put his feelings into words.  I remember those days still like they were yesterday, but my ears are turned now to the excited, shouting kids.  Those little voices I hear crying are no longer crying for me.
